Yamaha Tricity

As the Tricity arrives in the Philippines; it brings with it an extraordinary aspect that’s never been experienced, a way to move like no other. Yamaha developed this new city commuter that reinvents personal mobility with the introduction of a brand new technology, the LMW or Leaning Multi Wheel. It allows two front wheels to harmoniously work together to adapt in different road surfaces. The feature point of this Yamaha-exclusive technology is the integration of 2 key systems, a “Parallelogram Link” and a “Cantilevered Telescopic Suspension” for the two front wheels with unique machine dimensions and geometry which allows it to adjust to any road condition.

The Yamaha Tricity also brings about a new lifestyle, an upgrade to the daily commute. Aside from the technological functions, it also presents elegance and modernity. This beautifully designed machine envelops the rider with a look of confident intelligence as each journey exemplifies a unique dynamic movement.

Technological Benefits

The Parallelogram Link

A system that allows the parallel leaning of two front wheels and separate functioning of independent suspensions. This enables not just a natural lean but also maintains the same track and range of left and right wheel motion in any road condition.

The Cantilevered Telescopic Suspension

The rear set tubes handle shock absorption as the front set tubes serve as a guide, providing great cushioning over 90mm of stroke. The suspension uses tandem-type fork units for both forks on each side, these telescopic forks makes it easier to achieve a longer stroke length and suitable settings for spring rates and damping force, the unison of it all achieves a good combination of natural handling and cushioning performance.

Unified Braking System

When the rear brake lever is applied (Blue Line), force is administered to the front two discs and single rear disc. The input passes through an equalizer to apply braking force to the rear wheel as well as a good balance of braking force to the front wheels. Springs are used to optimize the distribution of front-rear braking force. This helps apply the frictional force of the front and rear tires effectively. The right-hand brake lever(Pink Line) however, operates only the front brakes when applied.

Yamaha Tricity comes in 2 color variations: White and Matte Red
